Can Greece have high expectations from the Presidency of Joe Biden? The answer is no. Expectations from the Trump presidency have been limited anyway, but Joe Biden will not have in his priorities to save Greece.
After all, Greece’s problems mainly concern relations with Turkey and the constant threats, provocations and blackmails against Europe.
European countries are turning their attention to US relations with France and Germany, while the United Kingdom, which is confused by Brexit, will no longer have such a strong position in European Union.
Biden will prioritize the coronavirus and the vaccine, and will have to reconsider his foreign policy in areas such as the Middle East.
His position to the Russian Federation is clear and the situation is not expected to be improved.
Therefore, for 2021, Greece should not have high expectations. Unless the US is forced to intervene in emergencies in the Mediterranean, then President Biden will be supposed to see if his own country’s interests are in line with the situation and the circumstances.
